1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make sure, for example, that the site remembers your language choice or keeps you logged in. Besides cookies we use similar technologies such as localStorage; for convenience we call everything "cookies" here.
2. Which cookies do we use?
We divide cookies into three categories:
- Necessary cookies — required for the website to work: your login session, language choice, cookie preferences and spam protection. No consent is needed for these; they are always set.
- Analytics cookies — give us anonymous statistics about how the site is used (which pages are visited, how visitors navigate) so we can improve it. We only set these with your consent.
- Marketing cookies — intended to measure campaigns and show more relevant messages. We only set these with your consent. We currently do not use third-party marketing cookies; if we ask for that consent anyway, it only takes effect once we actually use them.
3. Giving and withdrawing consent
On your first visit, the cookie banner asks which cookies you allow. Necessary cookies are always on; we only set analytics and marketing cookies if you choose to allow them.
You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
4. Deleting cookies in your browser
