Webofo processes personal data of visitors and clients. This privacy statement explains which data we collect, why, how long we keep it and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible?
Webofo, established in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42112376 (VAT ID: [BTW-IDENTIFICATIENUMMER]), is the controller for the processing of personal data described in this statement.

2. Which data do we process?
Depending on how you use our website and services, we process the following data:
- Contact and appointment details: name, email address, phone number and your message when you use the contact form or chat, or book an appointment.
- Account details: name, email address and an encrypted password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Client data: quotes, invoices, project files and support tickets in the client portal, insofar as you are a client.
- Website scan data: the website URL you submit and the email address we send the report to when you use the free website scan.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and page visits, insofar as needed for security (such as spam protection) and — only with your consent — for statistics.
3. What do we use this data for?
- Answering your question or quote request and scheduling and confirming appointments (performance of the contract or pre-contractual phase).
- Delivering our services: web design, SEO, hosting, maintenance and content (performance of the contract).
- Sending your website scan report and follow-up emails about it (legitimate interest / performance of your request).
- Invoicing and administration (legal obligation).
- Securing the website, such as protection against spam and abuse (legitimate interest).
- Website statistics and marketing, only when you have consented via the cookie banner (consent).
4. How long do we keep data?
- Contact and chat messages: up to 2 years after the last contact.
- Appointment details: up to 2 years after the appointment.
- Account details: for as long as your account exists; after deletion we erase your data within 30 days.
- Website scan data: up to 1 year after the scan.
- Invoices and administration: 7 years (Dutch fiscal retention obligation).
5. Who do we share data with?
We never sell your data. We only share data with service providers needed to deliver our services, such as our hosting provider, email provider and anti-spam service. Where required, we sign data processing agreements with these parties.
Data is processed within the European Economic Area as much as possible. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, this happens under appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, access restrictions and security monitoring.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access to the personal data we process about you.
- Rectification of incorrect or incomplete data.
- Erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction of and objection to the processing.
- Data portability: receiving your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawing previously given consent, for example for cookies.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
9. Changes
We may update this privacy statement, for example for new functionality or changed legislation. The most recent version is always on this page. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version is legally binding.
